Created for a class assignment, I was required to develop a visual identity and trifold informational pamphlet for Organica1, a fictional annual exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Toronto. The exhibition concept centres on contemporary artworks inspired by nature, drawing from organic forms, textures, patterns, and natural systems. The brief required the creation of an exhibition logo, printed collateral, and a cohesive visual system using a duotone colour constraint.
The design process began with a moodboard informed by natural references such as fish scales, coral structures, and mushroom gills. The exhibition logo was inspired by the indigo milk cap mushroom, using an abstract, twisted form filled with repeating linework to suggest organic growth and rhythm. This visual language carries through the pamphlet layout, supporting the exploration between nature and contemporary art while maintaining consistency and a modern presentation.
